Avon Swatches | Lipstick & Nail Polish

Image
Hey! As promised here are the proper swatches for the lipstick I brought and the nail polish! Kiss n' Go lipstick in Intimate Still loving this is so buttery to put on and moisturising and a pretty cool toned pale mauve/pink colour. Dazzlers top coat in Rose Golden This I was disappointed with. It looked completely different in the book. Print screen from web. Its pretty enough, I put 3 coats on top of a bronze/brown polish. As it dried off completely it seemed to shrink my nail colour away from my nail tips, if that makes sense so it look like I had been wearing it a while and the tips had chipped off. Also it chipped really easy and as all glitter polish, is a bugger to get off. Thanks! Jeni x

The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Image
Hey beauty lovers! Today I'm reviewing  Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge £5.99 Front Back I've been using this sponge for about over a month now and I'm loving it. Before I would just use my finger tips or a foundation/flat top brush to apply my foundation but since picking this up I haven't used anything else. It has a flat wedged side for easy application and blending. A pointed tip for direct application of concealer And a smooth round side if you want to apply cream blush with it. I've found that it blends my foundation in really well with no streaking. The typical way I use this is loading up the flat wedged side with my foundation and pressing and patting it on. Then using sweeping motions I'll blend any extra out.  I love how seamless my makeup looks and how well blended it is. After use a quick wash in warm soapy water - lots of squeezing and dabbing is needed to extract excess foundation. Then I pop it on top of my double-wide radiator to dry t

Flip Through Braid

Image
Hi! Just a quick hairstyle today! The flip through faux braid. Really easy to create and looks really cute :) Its very simple. 1. Tie hair in to a low side pony 2. Tie another hair elastic a few inches below the first tie, then make a hole and flip your hair through. 3. Repeat this process all the way down. 4. Gently tug on each section to add volume. Wanna see where I learned this click  HERE. Hope you like! Jeni x

Maybelline NY Brow Drama Review | Updates

Image
Happy Monday! Today I will be reviewing Maybelline's Brow Drama sculpting Brow Mascara. Dark Blond £4.99 for 7.6ml  I'm not big on the packaging it looks really cheap! The colour's not bad and I think if you had fairer eyebrows than me this wouldn't be a bad colour match. The spoolie is interesting to work with. The bigger fluffier ball at the tip is good for getting a light amount on to the fluffier inner parts of your eyebrow's [hope that makes sense]. But then you need to use the tighter thinner coils on the mid-ends of your brows, but the fluffy end works just as well. As for the effect on your brow's, it isn't massive. Its effect is very subtle and natural looking.  More of a neatening mascara than anything with real substance. I'd been looking forward to trying this because I've seen some other brow mascara's used in youtube tutorials and they look like they work really well. I was sadly a bit disappointed with this. I had hoped it might he
